Pedestrian struck on 115 in Chestnuthill
A Philadelphia man sustained minor injuries while walking along a Monroe County highway late Monday night.
State police at Fern Ridge said the crash occurred at 11:37 p.m. when William McBride, 48, of Philadelphia, was walking in the southbound lane of Route 115 in Chestnuthill Township.
That's when police said McBride was struck in the shoulder by an unknown vehicle.
McBride then walked to the Exxon gas station to contact police.
West End Ambulance transported McBride to Pocono Medical Center, where he was treated for minor injuries.
McBride was charged with walking too close to the road.
