Free Concert at Christ Evangelical

Tim Zimmerman and The King's Brass will appear in a free concert at Christ Evangelical Free Church, 2420 Blakeslee Blvd. Drive, West, Lehighton, at 7 p.m. June 9.

They will present hymn classics with a contemporary flair. The King's Brass features three trumpets, three trombones, a tuba, percussion and keyboards. These instruments blend together to create a time of innovative worship. The band, formed three decades ago, includes professional musicians from across the country, who desire to use the instruments they love to lead others in praise and worship. Based out of Fort Wayne, Indiana, the group plays over 120 concerts a year from coast to coast as well as international destinations.

This year the group is introducing "Hope," its 17th recording. This CD, released on the Summit Records label (www.summitrecords.com), features the group's fluegelhorns and low brass, along with special guests the Men of The Chapel and Aire Born Strings.
