Rock thrown at vehicle

State police at Frackville are investigating an incident where a rock was thrown at a moving vehicle damaging the windshield.

Troopers said the incident occurred about 11:40 a.m. on Tuesday along W. Centre Street in Mahanoy Township, just outside Mahanoy City.

Joseph T. Gallo Jr. of Mahanoy City, was driving his vehicle when the rock hit the windshield smashing it. Gallo was not injured. A check of the area for suspects was negative, troopers said.

Troopers warned the public, especially juveniles, that this type of incident is taken very seriously by police and could result in serious injuries to individuals.
