Frackville man jailed in Schuylkill

David Joshua Hower, 25, of Frackville, was committed to the Schuylkill County Prison, Pottsville, following his arraignment on charges of receiving stolen property and theft by deception filed against him by state police at the Frackville barracks.

Police said it is alleged he stole a cellphone owned by a 47-year-old Pottsville woman and sold it for $75 to a 27-year-old Frackville woman.

Police said an arrest warrant was issued for Hower, who was located in Girardville Borough on July 6, arraigned and committed to jail after failing to post $10,000 bail.

Police are asking anyone who may have purchased any other items from Hower, specifically a Kindle Fire, to contact them at 570-874-5300.
