Monroe woman phone scammed

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks are investigating a theft/fraud case that was reported to them at 4:37 p.m. Monday.

Police said the Saylorsburg victim notified them that an unknown person scammed her by having her purchase computer software over the telephone by providing the person with her credit card numbers.

Police said the person took the funds and she did not receive the items she thought she was purchasing.
