Traffic stop nets Monroe drug arrest

Pocono Mountain Regional Police said an illegal traffic move maneuver by a driver led to his arrest on drug-related charges at 11:40 p.m. May 23 along Route 611 in Mount Pocono.

Police arrested John Wilbur, 41, of Douglas, Massachusetts, on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police said he was observed failing to turn from a left-turn only lane. After the traffic stop was made, officers discovered suspected marijuana inside the vehicle.

The driver was also cited for a traffic control device violation.
