Nesquehoning police issue citations
Nesquehoning police issues several Motor Vehicle Code violations recently.
On June 29 and July 1, Police Chief Sean Smith issued nine speeding tickets for violaters traveling on Route 93 in the area of the state game lands.
He also issued one citation for not being licensed to drive in the same area.
On July 1, Smith issued two citations along Route 54 in the area of Eighth Avenue. One citation was for careless driving and one was for driving on roadways laned for traffic.
Officer Richard Neikam issued five citations in the borough between June 29 and July 1.
One person received a citation for a stop sign violation at the intersection of route 93 and 209. Another was cited for speeding along Catawissa Street. Two people were caught speeding along Route 54, with one of them cited for having an expired registration sticker.
On July 2, police also issued five citations against drivers who were found to be speeding on Route 93 in the area of the state game lands.
A sixth citation was issued against a driver for a registration and/or certification of title violation.
