State police at Lehighton reported investigating two crashes on Monroe County roads on Tuesday.

A crash was reported at 4:20 p.m. along Route 534 near Beech Lane in Polk Township. Troopers said Amanda R. Dealbertis, 24, of Nesquehoning, driving a 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt, was traveling southbound on 534 when Robert T. Farrell, 70, of East Meadow, New York, driving a 2002 Toyota Camry, pulled out from the westbound shoulder into her path.

A collision occurred, causing disabling damages to both vehicles.

Farrell and his passenger, Laura A. Farrell, 66, same address, and Dealbertis, were all not injured.

Troopers cited Farrell for the crash.

The second crash was reported at 4:29 p.m. along Weir Lake Road in Chestnuthill Township. Troopers said Sedia E. Mehmedi, 19, of Brodheadsville, was driving a 2008 Hyundai Elantra northbound in the left lane, south of Old Stagecoach Road, and attempting to negotiate a right curve when she lost control on the wet road.

The car crossed the center line, traveled about 30 feet along the berm, where the passenger side front hit a barn. After impact with the barn, the car spun counter clockwise and traveled another 19 feet, coming to rest facing northwest along the berm.

Mehmedi was not injured. Troopers said she was cited for traveling at an unsafe speed.
