Mahoning man charged after driving into swing set
A Mahoning Township man has been charged with two counts of driving under the influence after he drove his vehicle into a yard and into a swing set.
Police said that at 11:19 p.m. April 3, they received a report from a resident of Orioles Drive that a vehicle had driven into their yard and it was stuck against a swing set.
A blood test showed that the driver of the car, Steven Barachie, 48, had a blood-alcohol content of 0.27 percent.
Barachie has been charged with 2 counts of DUI, a misdemeanor; careless driving, a summary offense.
A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Aug. 12.
