Lehighton man charged with assault
Mahoning Township police have charged a Lehighton man with simple assault and harassment.
Police said Christopher Barachie, 34, assaulted a woman at 11:38 a.m. June 12 at her residence on Jamestown Street.
Barachie fled before police arrived.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 19.
