Police investigate Monroe assault

Pocono Mountain Regional Police are investigating what they called a "strong arm robbery" that happened at 12:28 a.m. Wednesday in the parking lot of the Karen Court Apartments, Pocono Pines.

Police said a male victim told them he was retrieving his iPhone from his car when an unknown vehicle stopped at the scene and a black male wearing a gray hoodie and a red hat exited the car, approached the victim and grabbed him. Police said the victim reported two other black males exited the vehicle and began to assault him.

The victim told police he lost consciousness for a short time but when he regained it, he discovered his phone was missing.

Police said the vehicle left via Old Route 940 toward Blakeslee.
