Tamaqua driver facing DUI charge

A Tamaqua driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol following an incident that occurred at 11:20 p.m. Saturday along Old Route 209 in Schuylkill Township.

State police at Frackville said Cristal R. Russell, 37, was stopped at that location for a traffic violation. She was found to be under the influence and taken to the barracks for a breath test. The test revealed her alcohol content was over the legal limit of 0.08 percent, troopers said.

Charges will be filed.
