Schuylkill crash
No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle crash that was reported at 10:15 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Route 54 in the area of Vulcan Hill Road and Route 856 in Mahanoy Township, Schuylkill County.
State police at Frackville said Diane M. Marston, 60, of East Hartford, Connecticut, was driving a 2015 Jeep Patriot westbound on 54 and attempting to turn left onto Vulcan Hill Road from the right lane when she pulled into the path of a 2012 Mazda 3 driven by Shelbie K. Krum, 22, of Slatington, who was also westbound.
The Jeep struck the front end of the Mazda with its front end.
Passengers with Marston were Wendy M. Deflice, 40, and an 8-year-old boy, both from Marlborough, Connecticut. Troopers said Marston was cited for the crash.
