Coaldale man facing drug counts

Published August 06. 2015 04:00PM

Coaldale police have filed charges against Christopher Keer, 25, of 23 W. Ruddle St., Coaldale, in connection with an incident on July 21.

Officers went to Keer's home to execute an arrest warrant issued by the Schuylkill County Adult Probation office. They found him asleep in an upstairs bedroom.

After being awakened, Keer admitted using a narcotic that morning. Next to him was a black bag, which was opened by Linda Keer, who showed officers that it contained drug paraphernalia. Once downstairs, Linda Keer moved a washing machine to retrieve a spoon containing residue. All of the paraphernalia was seized as evidence.

Christopher Keer was then transported, by ambulance, to St. Luke's Hospital-Miners Campus in Coaldale, for evaluation due to his disoriented condition. When he was released he was turned over to probation officers and taken to the Schuylkill County Prison in Pottsville.

Coaldale police have charged him with possession of drug paraphernalia.
