Police: Man punched woman in parking lot

State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating an aggravated assault incident that occurred in the parking lot of a Schuylkill County business.

Troopers said the incident occurred about 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the parking lot of the Giant Supermarket located off Route 61 in the Cressona Mall in North Manheim Township.

Lori Keefer, 48, of Pottsville, said she parked her car on the side of the market and got out. She was then approached by a white man who punched her in the face one time and walked away.

Keefer immediately drove to the Schuylkill Medical Center-E. Norwegian St., Pottsville, where she was treated for bruising and fractures to her face.

The suspect was described as being tall and thin with dark hair. The investigation is continuing.
