Schuylkill driver facing charges

A Schuylkill County driver is facing charges following a traffic stop that occurred at 12:35 a.m. on July 26 along Route 209 at Mary D in Schuylkill Township.

State police at Frackville said Janet Catherine Magee, 40, of Pottsville, was stopped by troopers at that location. Troopers determined Magee was driving under the influence of a controlled substance. While taking her into custody troopers found a small amount of marijuana.

Magee was transported to the Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street, Pottsville, for a blood test, which she refused.

Charges of DUI and drug act violations were filed, troopers said.
