Driver facing DUI count in McAdoo

A Dickson City, Lackawanna County, woman has been cited by McAdoo police after a traffic stop on July 22.

An officer observed a white Chevrolet Prizm traveling on South Kennedy Drive, at 10:35 p.m. He noticed the license plate lights were not working. The Prizm was stopped and the driver was identified as Mandy Smith.

She showed several signs of inebriation and was asked if she had been drinking. Her reply was "hours ago." She failed field sobriety tests.

She was cited for driving under the influence of alcohol and traffic violations.
