Domestic incident leads to arrest
A domestic incident has led to the arrest of a Monroe County man.
Pocono Mountain Regional police said at 11:13 p.m. on Aug. 22 officers were dispatched to 206 Old Route 940, in Pocono Lake, Tobyhanna Township, to a report of a domestic incident.
A woman told police her boyfriend had assaulted her. Police observed numerous injuries to the victim.
The boyfriend, identified as Barry T. Weirich, 47, of that address, was placed under arrest for simple assault, a misdemeanor two, and a summary offense of harassment.
He was transported to the county prison in Snydersville for arraignment. Court records show he was arraigned and posted bail.
