Driver facing DUI count in Monroe
A York County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence following a traffic stop in Monroe County. Pocono Mountain Regional police said the incident occurred on Wednesday at Route 940 and Interstate 380, in Tunkhannock Township.
Police said officers observed a vehicle pass police headquarters traveling at a high rate of speed. Police caught up to the vehicle and observed other traffic violations.
A traffic stop was made and the driver was identified as Lynn Ann Boswell, 25, of 422 Oak Hollow Road, Red Lion. Boswell displayed signs of intoxication and failed field sobriety tests. She was transported to the county DUI center for a blood test. The test results showed her over the legal limit.
In addition to DUI she was also charged with speeding and other traffic offenses.
