Tamaqua man cited for protection order violation

Tamaqua police have cited Nathan Oldt, 28, of 613 Arlington St., Tamaqua, for violating a protection from abuse order on Aug. 29.

Police were dispatched to Oldt's Arlington Street address where they were met by two women who said Oldt parked near the residence and sent a friend to the home to retrieve his boxing gloves. Both women have active PFAs barring Oldt from having any contact with them.

When told police were on their way the friend left without the gloves and both men drove away.

Oldt was cited for indirect criminal contempt of court.
