Woman's Club

The members and guests of the Nesquehoning Woman's Club will open their season with a dinner at 6 p.m. Sept. 13 at the Parkview Inn in Summit Hill.

Please call Jane Pietruch with your reservation at 570-645-7846 before Sept. 1. Price includes dinner, tax and tip. Choice of entree includes broiled haddock, chicken cordon bleu, crab cakes or New York strip steak.

Lansford

Music in the Park

Music in the Park, Kennedy Park Gazebo, Lansford will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday. Music by Darren Frehulfer from Lehighton with top 40s, golden oldies, classic rock, rhythm and blues. Aug. 30 from 6-8 p.m. will be music by Rodney Clouser from Tamaqua with classic rock, country, golden oldies and gospel.

Golden Agers

The meeting of Aug. 10 of the Panther Valley Golden Agers was opened with the pledge of allegiance and the club song. The meeting was conducted by President Irene Hudasky.

Hospitality for August and September will be Polly Evan and Rainy Kleppinger.

The next meeting will be at 1 p.m. Monday at St. John's Slovak Lutheran Church Social Hall. May, June, July and August birthdays will be celebrated.
