Results of checkpoint

Lehigh Township police in Northampton County released the results of a checkpoint operation officers conducted on Aug. 21, on Route 134 and Blue Mountain Drive.

Arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol were Michael Ragard, 33, of Whitehall Township, Durell Cotton, 29, of Bath; and Carmen Guzman, 34, of Walnutport. Arrested for suspicion of DUI of a controlled substance was Allen Hammersly Jr., 58, of Allentown.

Police also reported a stolen Infinity FX35 was recovered at the checkpoint. The theft investigation were turned over to the Lehigh County Auto Theft Task Force.

In addition to the DUI arrests, police also issued 25 traffic citations for various vehicle code violations. Three people were cited for driving while under suspension-DUI related; six drivers cited for driving while license suspended for other violations; and three people cited for driving without a license.
