McAdoo man jailed after Rush incident

A McAdoo man was jailed in the Schuylkill County prison over the weekend after an incident in Rush Township.

Police were initiating a traffic stop on Anthony Powell, 45, when he drove away. He was eventually stopped in Kline Township at 2:13 a.m.

Powell was arraigned before on-call District Judge David Platchko, of Port Carbon, on charges of fleeing/attempting to elude police, reckless endangerment, DUI refusal and several traffic offenses. Bail was set at $25,000, which he was unable to post.
