Break-in attempt investigated

Someone damaged a sliding door at a home in Effort, Monroe County, on Friday, according to state police at Fern Ridge.

Police said that a 45-year-old resident of Shenkel Road reported damage to the rear sliding door of her home.

The incident occurred Sept. 4 at 4:15 p.m. No further details were available.
