Credit cards stolen, used in Mt. Pocono

Pocono Mountain Regional Police have reported a case of receiving stolen property in Mount Pocono Borough.

Police said that on June 24, a man reported his credit cards stolen and used at the Wal-Mart store in Mt. Pocono Borough on June 25 in the amount of $253.

Police reviewed the surveillance cameras to find Michael Gielec, 26, using the victim's credit cards to purchase items at the store.

Gielec is charged with two counts of access device, and one count each of theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, and possessing instrument of a crime.

Charges were filed through Judge Phillip Riley.

Gielec is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 8.
