It’s going to be a wet, dreary weekend. Seems like the perfect time to curl up with a good book. Here’s this week’s New York Times Best Seller List for combined print and e-book fiction.

1. “X,” by Sue Grafton. A variety of X’s lead Kinsey Millhone into deep secrets and a cold case.

2. “The Girl on the Train” by Paula Hawkins. A psychological thriller set in the environs of London is full of complications and betrayals.

3. “The Martian” by Andy Weir. Abandoned by his crew, an astronaut embarks on a dogged quest to stay alive.

4. “The Nature of the Beast” by Louise Penny. Retired to the village of Three Pines, Armand Gamache is faced with the murder of a troublesome 9-year-old boy in the 11th book in this series.

5. “Wildest Dreams” by Robyn Carr. An overprotective mother finds her defensiveness waning when her son befriends the triathlete next door.

6. “Go Set a Watchman” by Harper Lee. In the mid-1950s, a grown-up Jean Louise Finch returns to Maycomb and realizes that her adored father is a racist.

7. “Friction” by Sandra Brown. A Texas Ranger fights for custody of his daughter amidst complications stemming from his attraction to the judge.

8. “Gray Mountain” by John Grisham. A downsized Wall Street lawyer joins a small-town legal clinic and litigates against the coal-mining industry.

9. “Small Wars” by Lee Child. In an e-book short story set in 1989, Jack Reacher must solve the murder of a young officer.

10. “The Taming of the Queen” by Philippa Gregory. The relationship between Henry VIII and Catherine Parr, his sixth wife, who survived him.
