No injuries in Schuylkill crash

A Schuylkill County teen driver and his passenger escaped injury in a one-vehicle crash that occurred at 9:09 p.m. on Oct. 14 along Vista Road in Eldred Township.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said a 17-year-old male from Pitman was driving a 2005 Mazda 305 northbound when the car began to spin clockwise and traveled across the southbound lane. The car then struck a dirt embankment along the west berm. After impact the car continued north and struck a tree with the driver's side rear fender, where it came to rest. The teen had a 15-year-old male passenger, also from Pitman.

Troopers cited the teen for driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed.
