Effort man facing stalking charges

An Effort man faces charges of stalking, harassment and disorderly conduct after police said he posted almost 1,000 images on the Facebook page of a Tobyhanna female.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said Robert Start, 45, posted the images between February and October.

According to a police report issued Monday, Start posted pictures of firearms and skeletons with the middle finger directed toward the victim.

The two parties are going through a divorce.

Stroud Regional Police arrested Start on Saturday at Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, and transported him to the Monroe County Correctional Facility in Snydersville.

District Judge Jolana Krawitz set bail at $50,000. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. today.
