Traffic stop leads to drug, alcohol charges
A Summit Hill man has been charged by police after they received reports of a suspicious vehicle near a business.
Borough police said that on Oct. 5, officers were called to an area business for a report of a suspicious vehicle sitting outside.
Upon arrival, they observed a vehicle, driven by Jonathan Stefanick, 29, of 226 N. Market St., attempting to pull away. Police conducted a vehicle stop.
During the stop, officers learned that Stefanick did not have permission to be in the area and observed an open container containing alcohol. They also learned that Stefanick had no insurance on his vehicle and that he was in possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, restrictions on alcoholic beverages and required financial responsibility.
