Monroe driver facing DUI charges

A Monroe County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence following an incident that occurred on Oct. 10 at 11:55 p.m.

State police at Fern Ridge said a Subaru Impreza was stopped while traveling south on Route 115 in Chestnuthill Township. The driver was identified as Brian Mathious, of Effort. He showed signs of impairment and was given field sobriety tests and a PBT, which indicated alcohol was present in his system. He was placed under arrest for DUI.
