Woman charged with possession of drug paraphernalia
A Hazle Township woman was picked up by Tamaqua police on an outstanding warrant on Oct. 20.
Shirley Hill, 47, of 211 Club Forty Road, was observed walking in the area of Nescopec Street and Hegarty Avenue at 1 a.m. that day. The officer knew there was a warrant for her arrest, issued by Luzerne County officials.
Hill was arrested. Officers found her to be in possession of seven syringes, multiple cotton swabs, a vial of water and a spoon. She admitted to being addicted to heroin.
She was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
