Tamaqua man cited for dog incident

Keith Schlosser, 33, of 249 W. Rowe St., Tamaqua, has been cited for allowing his dog to run loose.

Police were dispatched to the area at 7:38 p.m. on Nov. 3, where a black dog was reportedly chasing children. The victims said they were walking on Hegarty Avenue when the dog came after them from the yard at 249 W. Rowe St.

Officers went to the home but no one answered the front door. As they were knocking on the front door officers saw a black dog being let into the house through a side door. No one answered knocks on the side door either.

It was determined that Schlosser is the owner of the dog and he will receive his citation by mail.
