Cited for public intoxication

A Tamaqua man has been cited following an incident at the Subway shop Oct. 21.

Officers were dispatched to the sandwich shop at 38 W. Broad St., at 6:30 p.m. They found Brian Keith Woods, 50, of 259 W. Rowe St., Tamaqua, passed out on a chair, sleeping with his head on a table. After several attempts, Woods was awoken and taken to the police station.

After sobering up, he was released with a citation for public intoxication.
