A driver escaped injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 10:48 a.m. Oct. 24 on Pohopoco Drive east of Beltzville State Park in Franklin Township.

State police at the Lehighton barracks said Andrea J. Weida, 33, of Lehighton, was driving a 2007 Toyota Yaris westbound when a deer crossed both lanes of travel. Police said the vehicle's front driver's side hit the deer, after which it spun counterclockwise and traveled about 75 feet, crossing the eastbound lane of travel and coming to rest approximately 2 feet off the north berm of the roadway.

Passenger Richard A. Reed, 33, also of Lehighton, was not injured.
