PBS39 hosting parties for ‘Downton Abbey’s’ final season

On Dec. 5, PBS39 will host its Downton Abbey Final Season Premiere Celebration, giving fans of the popular Masterpiece drama two opportunities for a sneak peak of the show’s final season.

PBS39 invites viewers to attend their choice of two sessions at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. The 11 a.m. session will feature tea, brunch hors d’oeuvres from Karen Hunter Catering, and “Downton Abbey” trivia.

The 3 p.m. session will feature a wine tasting from South Italy Imports (with keepsake wineglass), silent auction, costume contest, hors d’oeuvres from Karen Hunter Catering, and “Downton Abbey” trivia.

Both celebrations will feature an exclusive screening of the first hour of “Downton Abbey” Season 6.

“With the upcoming season of ‘Downton Abbey’ being the last, PBS39 wanted to do something special for loyal fans of the series,” said Tim Fallon, PBS39 CEO. “The answer was to hold not one, but two celebrations to give our viewers the opportunity to kick off the final season in style.”
