Weatherly man charged with burglary

Samuel Lakata of Weatherly has been charged with burglary and receiving stolen property, according to Weatherly police.

Lakata entered a residence in town and removed thousands of dollars in money and jewelry.

Police said Lakata pawned the items for cash so he could feed his heroin addiction.

More charges could be filed at a later date.

Lakata was arraigned, unable to post bail and transported to Carbon County prison.
