No injuries in Schuylkill County crash

No one was hurt in a two-vehicle crash at 3:47 p.m. Nov. 5 on Long Run Road in Wayne Township, Schuylkill County, according to state police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks.

Police said the accident happened when a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee operated eastbound by Heather M. Neidlinger, 24, of Pottsville, failed to stop in time for a vehicle that had stopped for oncoming traffic to make a left turn, and crashed into the rear of that car, a 2008 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Irvin O. Steckley Jr., 72, of Schuylkill Haven.

Police said both vehicles were able to get off the road into a nearby driveway.

Both drivers and two passengers with Neidlinger, including Richard L. Alderman Jr., 21, of Tamaqua, escaped injuries.

Police said Neidlinger was cited for following too closely.
