Drug charges, DUI pending

State police at Lehighton said a 23-year-old Walnutport man is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia as a result of a traffic stop made at 7:05 p.m. Nov. 14 on Route 248, near the Palmerton exit in Lower Towamensing Township.

He was transported for a blood test.

Police said the charges will be filed pending laboratory results. Police will not release his name until he is charged.
