Police investigate area burglaries

State police at Fern Ridge reported investigating two burglaries at two Monroe County locations.

Troopers said the Stier General Contractors building, located at 2 Marion Lane, in Chestnuthill Township, was entered through a secured door. The incident was reported at 8:18 p.m. Thursday. It is not known if anything was taken.

The second entry occurred at a residence in the area of 1304 Burger Hollow Road in Effort, Chestnuthill Township. Money and multiple wrist watches were taken. The incident was reported at 3:40 p.m. Friday.

Troopers also reported on a criminal mischief incident.

A resident on Autumn Lane in Penn Forest Township reported someone damaged a light fixture located in his front yard.

The incident occurred sometime between 12:30 and 8:30 a.m. on Sunday.
