Texts result in harassment charge

James Bernard Hill, 32, of 10 Cherry St., Tamaqua, has been charged with harassment after several incidents at 101 W. Rowe St.

The victims contacted Tamaqua police on Nov. 16 to report that Hill was sending harassing text messages, repeatedly driving past their home and, on multiple occasions, knocking on the door or window and running away.

The text messages were sent on Nov. 7, 8 and 9. The drive-bys and knocking incidents were on Nov. 9, 10, 13 and 16.
