Tamaqua arrested on firearms charge
A Tamaqua man has been arrested on a felony warrant for a firearms violation.
State police at Frackville said Shane Evans, 29, was taken into custody on Nov. 10 on a warrant stemming from an attempt to purchase a firearm on Feb. 17 at Ed's Sport Shop, located at 308 W. Broad St., Tamaqua. At the time of the purchase Evans was prohibited by law from ownership of a firearm.
