Lehighton woman facing felony charges

A Carbon County woman faces charges of attempted aggravated assault following an incident on Sunday.

Lehighton State Police said that at 6:43 p.m. Sunday, Kathleen Ann Kattner, 45, of Lehighton, took a 52-year-old woman's loaded firearm and pointed it at the victim at 38 Hollyberry Lane, Penn Forest Township.

After a brief struggle, the victim was able to take the gun.

Kattner then went outside and damaged the victim's vehicle with a small outside grill.

Kattner was transported to Lehighton Hospital for further treatment by Lehighton EMS.

Felony charges were approved.

A preliminary arraignment is pending due to the accused being admitted to Gnaden Huetten Hospital.
