New York man cited in McAdoo

McAdoo police have cited a New York man for allowing his rental property to become a threat to public safety.

Wilfred Roman of Jackson Heights, owns property at 208 W. Sherman St. in McAdoo. Police inspected the property after neighbors called to report black smoke coming from the chimney on Sept. 24.

The building was found to be in such a dilapidated condition that it poses a safety hazard.

Roman was cited for allowing his building to become a public nuisance.
