Vandals strike in Penn Forest development

Police say vandals struck two homes in the Towamensing Trails community last month in unrelated, but similar incidents.

The alleged incidents were both reported over the holiday.

On Thursday, A 74-year-old resident of the private community in Penn Forest Township told troopers that someone vandalized his home sometime between 1 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. Thursday.

The suspects damaged two sliding glass doors, a porch door and a window of the residence. Nothing appeared to be stolen from the house.

On Saturday, another homeowner reported that someone had damaged a sliding-glass door at a home located on Burnshaw Lane in the community. That incident allegedly occurred between Nov. 28 and Saturday.
