Published December 17. 2015 04:00PM

A 2002 Toyota Camry rolled onto its roof during a crash at 10:20 p.m. Monday on Route 895, just east of Hawk Mountain Road, in East Brunswick Township.

State police at the Frackville barracks said two occupants of the vehicle escaped serious injuries. One sustained several minor glass cuts and was treated at the scene. The other was uninjured.

Police said Alanna B. Engle, 19, of New Ringgold, was driving the vehicle eastbound when she became distracted and lost control of the car on the wet roadway. It traveled across the westbound lane and shoulder, struck the embankment adjacent to the westbound shoulder and rolled over, coming to rest in the westbound lane.

The passenger was identified as Eric L. Vandiver Jr., 26, also of New Ringgold.

Police said the driver will be cited for a Motor Vehicle Code violation for having caused the crash.

Members of the New Ringgold Fire Company and Ambulance assisted at the scene.
