Summit Hill police files charges in several incidents

Summit Hill police charged a number of people following various incidents in the borough.

Fred Evans, 65, of 50 E. Summit Ave., and his nephew, Edward Evans, 29, of 48, E. Summit Ave., were both charged with simple assault and harassment after police were called to the 100 block of East Lehigh Street on Oct. 6 for a report of an assault. The investigation revealed both men were involved in an altercation and Fred Evans was injured and taken to the hospital.

Cari Evans, 28, of 48 E. Summit Ave., was charged in two separate incidents. The first incident happened on Nov. 10. Police were called to East Summit Avenue, where Evans was causing a disturbance and yelling at individuals who were nearby. She was charged with disorderly conduct and harassment. The second incident happened on Nov. 30, when police received a report of Evans yelling profanities at a neighbor. She was charged with harassment.

Alyssa Bernardi, 24, of 304 Lansford Court, was charged with harassment after police received a complaint on Oct. 20 from a tenant that Bernardi was harassing her.

Alyssa Gryzik, 21, of 303 Lansford Court, was charged with harassment after police received a complaint on Nov. 16 that Gryzik was making derogatory statements to other individuals living in the area.

Ernie Smith, 41, of 27 W. White St., was charged with harassment on Sept. 14 after police received a call to respond to a home along West Fell Street. Police said Smith allegedly struck a person at a residence.

Brianna Burak, 19, of 8835 Manchester Ave., Philadelphia, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on Oct. 18. Police witnessed Burak fail to stop at a stop sign and initiated a traffic stop. During the stop, drug paraphernalia was found inside Burak's vehicle.

Donald Smale, 41, no listed address, and Edward Miller, 39, of 120 W. Fell St., were both charged with disorderly conduct on Dec. 4 after police were called to the area of 200 N. Market St. for a confrontation between the two men.

A 14-year-old female was charged with harassment on Dec. 6, after she reportedly harassed neighbors living nearby by yelling derogatory remarks at them.
