Area residents will flex culinary muscles at Pa. Farm Show

The Pennsylvania Farm Show kicks off Saturday and Carbon County will be well represented with four local residents showing off their baking skills.

Competing this year will be:

• Sarah Schweitzer, Lehighton, in the Blue Ribbon Apple Pie Contest

• Christina Tomsic, Palmerton, in the Angel Food Contest

• Connie Wentz, Lehighton, in the PA Preferred Chocolate Cake Contest

• Maya Schweitzer, age 9, in the PA Preferred Chocolate Cookie/Brownie/Bar Youth Contest
