Husband-wife are facing charges
Pocono Mountain Regional police arrested an Albrightsville husband and wife as a result of an incident that happened on Feb. 28 in Blakeslee.
Barbara Tobin, 48, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and her husband, Keith, 47, was charged with false reports to law enforcement and hindering an apprehension.
Police said they responded to the intersection of Kuhenbeaker and Tallow roads for a disabled vehicle on top of a snow bank.
They found Keith Tobin attempting to dig out the snow from under the vehicle. Police said he displayed signs of intoxication and admitted to them that he was driving the vehicle.
As the investigation continued, Keith Tobin denied driving the vehicle and advised that his wife was driving it.
The investigation revealed she was driving the vehicle and was under the influence of alcohol at the time.
She was arrested at the scene and transported to the Monroe County DUI Center for processing. Her husband was arrested on the above charges after initially not telling police the truth.
