Monroe driver injured in crash

A Monroe County driver was injured in a one-vehicle crash that occurred at 9:15 p.m. Sunday along Jonas Road in Chestnuthill Township.

State police at Fern Ridge said Michael J. Giordano, 49, of Kunkletown, was driving a 2013 Ford F150 pickup truck when the vehicle left the road and crashed into a tree.

Giordano was taken by West End ambulance to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for treatment of unknown injuries. The truck was towed from the scene.

Troopers said Giordano was cited for the crash.
