Food pantry

Summit Hill Food Pantry distribution dates for the year are as follows:

Tuesdays, April 28, May 26, June 23, July 28, Aug. 25, Sep. 22, Oct. 27; and Mondays, Nov. 23 and Dec. 21.

The food pantry is located in the Summit Hill Heritage Center on Hazard and Chestnut streets.

Distribution will take place between 10-11:30 a.m. There is to be no parking in the alley before 9:45 a.m. and absolutely no parking in the vacant lot.

Recipients are reminded to bring along extra strong shopping/tote bags.

Recipients are also asked to cut out and save this notice for the year.

The following is a list of upcoming activities at the Panther Valley Senior Center, 90 E. Catawissa St., Nesquehoning.

All activities begin at 11 a.m. unless otherwise noted. Sign in by 10:30 a.m. for the next day's lunch.

This week: Wednesday, Pay Bingo; Thursday, Women's pool, men's cards; Friday, Shuffleboard

Next week: April 27, Women's pool, men's cards; April 28, Pay Bingo; April 29, Movie and popcorn at 10 a.m.; April 30, Yahtzee

Senior Games are coming in May. Come in to practice bean bags, shuffleboard, darts and pool.

New members are always welcome.
